About Baby Books

Baby Books is an Android app for creating picture books from images and text found through Wikipedia pages. Users create a book, search for topics, and add pages whose selected text and images flow into the book layout. It can be used to assemble a themed book, for example around animals, plants, or other subjects, and read the material together with a child. A finished book can be exported as a PDF to share or print. The app is described as being in early development, and its current limitations include limited control over which image is selected from a page, less intuitive page-changing and reordering gestures, and no direct sharing of editable books between devices. The product description also says that proper source attribution in exported PDFs is still planned, so PDF readers may not see complete attribution for the included source material. Baby Books is therefore a simple book-making tool with PDF output, rather than a collaborative publishing platform. Its main workflow is to gather pages around a topic and turn them into a printable or shareable document.
