About Bibledit
Bibledit is a workspace for Bible translation teams to edit scripture and consult translation resources. Resources can be displayed alongside the text being edited. Teams can use an online cloud version or install a local client. The local client saves each member’s changes on that device and synchronizes them when a connection is available. Bibledit can exchange text changes with Paratext, allowing teams to send Bible text in either direction between the two systems. It also supports exports including web-ready HTML, formatted OpenOffice documents that can be converted to PDF, and SWORD modules for Bible-reading applications. The app is intended for collaborative translation work across computers, tablets, and phones. Teams can work locally when offline and sync later, while translation resources and export formats support editing and distribution workflows. The supplied information describes translation-team capabilities but does not specify which resources or export formats are available in each deployment.
