About Bona vortaro

Bona vortaro is an offline Esperanto dictionary for Android. It includes a complete dictionary with translations into more than 170 languages, and can be searched without an internet connection. Users can search in Esperanto or another language, with or without accent marks, and use wildcards to find related entries. Dictionary articles include definitions, examples, remarks, links between words, and translations. A long press can look up an inflected form and find its dictionary root, while users can browse from one root to another or request a random entry. The app also identifies officially recognized Esperanto words and lets users browse lists of official additions. Recent searches are available for quick return, and text size and day or night colors can be adjusted. The interface itself is in Esperanto, while entries can be searched and read with translations in the supported dictionary languages. Bona vortaro is useful for learners and fluent speakers who want a broad reference available offline.
