About Coffee Log
Coffee Log is a local brewing journal for recording coffee recipes and tasting results. Users create an index of the coffees they own, then log each brewing attempt against the relevant coffee. A brew entry can include the amount of grounds, final drink yield, grind setting, brew time, water temperature, liquid volume, a one-to-five-star rating, and free-form tasting notes. The app calculates the brewing ratio automatically from the dose and yield. A history for each coffee keeps earlier attempts available for comparison, with the newest brew shown first. Users can mark successful recipes as favorites, and the dashboard surfaces key details from the latest favorite for each coffee. This makes it easier to repeat a recipe that worked and compare adjustments across subsequent brews, rather than relying on memory or scattered notes. The app is fully offline: it does not require an account, network access, or permissions, and the journal remains on the device. A complete export to JSON can be imported again later, providing a portable backup of the recipes and brew history. Light and dark themes are available. Coffee Log is focused on recording and refining manual brewing recipes; it does not control brewing equipment or retrieve coffee information from an online service.
