About CypherLeaf
CypherLeaf is an offline note-taking app with folders, tags, and tools for protecting sensitive entries. Notes can be pinned, attached to files, and given reminders. Deleted notes go to a trash area where they can be restored, and a home-screen widget shows recent and pinned items. Biometric or device screen-lock authentication can protect access to the app. Individual notes can be encrypted with AES-GCM using a key held in Android Keystore. The app also supports passphrase-protected encrypted backups for moving notes to another device. Notes can be exported as plain text, Markdown, or JSON, giving users both readable copies and a structured format. CypherLeaf works without an account, ads, trackers, or internet access. Notes stay on the device, protected notes remain encrypted in storage, and encrypted backups do not leave the device in readable form. Light and dark themes and adjustable text size are available. It is designed for keeping ordinary notes and more sensitive information in one local library.
