About Devhelp
Devhelp is a browser and search tool for software API documentation. It helps developers navigate library references and search for specific programming elements such as functions, structures, and macros. The documentation must be installed locally, so using Devhelp does not require an internet connection once the relevant material is available on the computer. Devhelp works directly with GTK-Doc documentation, and other development platforms can be supported when their API references are available as HTML and have a generated `.devhelp2` index. This lets developers search local reference material from different libraries through a common interface, provided the documentation is prepared in a supported format.
