About DevSwitch
DevSwitch controls Android Developer options, USB debugging, and wireless debugging from one screen or from three Quick Settings tiles. Switching these settings affects the system immediately: debugging services can start or stop, and the Developer options screen can appear or be hidden. This gives users a direct way to manage debugging access without navigating through the full settings interface each time. The app’s wireless tab shows the phone’s IP address and wireless-debugging address, and can scan the local Wi-Fi network for ADB devices. With a supporting companion service enabled, it can show paired computers and help pair another one using a code or a QR code displayed by a development tool. The app asks for confirmation before turning a debugging switch off or unpairing a computer, since either action could end an active connection. Quick Settings tiles refuse to toggle controls from the lock screen. Android requires the secure-settings permission for an app to change these system settings. DevSwitch cannot request that permission through an ordinary dialog, so it must be granted once through a computer command, a companion service, or root access. The product says the permission survives reboots and app updates. It has no accounts, network services, or analytics; the only network use is local discovery of ADB devices on the user’s Wi-Fi. DevSwitch is intended for developers and technical users who need quick, explicit control over Android debugging connections.
