About Editor
Editor is a simple text editor that can open or edit text files from within the app or from another app’s file picker. Files open read-only at first; a long press on the document or the edit control in the toolbar enables changes. The app supports regular-expression search, optional autosave, word wrap, suggestions, and syntax highlighting. It can detect or let users choose a character set, and can display Markdown in a browser or HTML viewer. Appearance options include light, dark, black, and retro themes, several text sizes, and monospace or proportional fonts. Editor is no longer developed. It is a general-purpose text-file editor for viewing and making changes to plain text, with optional formatting and search aids.
