About Entropy's Defiance
Entropy’s Defiance combines a minimalist Android launcher with a task manager organized around five time horizons: today, this week, this month, this year, and this life. Users can move tasks between horizons with a swipe and view a focused task list on the home screen. Zen Mode can isolate one task for distraction-free work. The app drawer ranks apps by frequency and supports text search. A calendar widget can calculate free time across selected calendars, and the interface offers accent colors, left-handed controls, and an optional double-tap action to open the dialer. Tasks are stored in plain JSON and can be synchronized with folder-sync tools; a terminal interface is available for editing the same file from a Linux computer. The app works offline and has no trackers, analytics, or ads. Reading the calendar is optional and only used for the calendar widget. It is intended for people who want task organization and app launching shaped around time horizons, with local file storage that can be synchronized through a tool they choose.
