About ESBDirect
ESBDirect displays school substitution plans in a native Android list. Users can filter the entries and can also view the original website or image representation. Older versions of a plan are stored locally, allowing users to check how a schedule has changed. Notifications can be limited to entries relevant to the user, and shortcodes in the plan can be expanded into teachers’ full names. The app also provides access to the plan system’s news and notice-board sections. Its screens are designed to load relatively quickly and present the schedule information in a mobile-friendly way. ESBDirect is an independent client for a substitution-plan distribution system used in German-speaking areas. It is not the official app from the company associated with that system. The app is useful for students or staff who need to check changing school schedules, filter for relevant entries, and receive notifications about their own substitutions. Access depends on the school using a compatible plan system and making its data available.
