About Feltbok
Feltbok is a Norwegian-language field diary for recording bird sightings. It is designed for quick entry outdoors, with a species lookup that can find a bird after typing only one letter. Observations can be tied to a location selected on a map, helping users record where a sighting occurred. The app can create private sites and retrieve a user’s existing private observation locations. Sightings can be exported to Artsobservasjoner for later use in that service. Feltbok does not require an account login or an internet connection for its basic field-recording workflow. Feltbok is made for use in Norway, and its interface is in Norwegian only. It is suited to birders who want to note observations in the field and transfer them to a broader observation record later.
