About GitSync

GitSync is an Android Git client for synchronizing local folders with remote repositories. After an initial setup, it can sync in the background or on demand. Users can clone a repository, fetch and pull changes, stage and commit edits, push updates, and resolve merge conflicts. When a network connection returns, failed operations can be retried automatically. Sync can be triggered when an app opens or closes, on a recurring schedule, from a Quick Settings tile or home-screen widget, or through a custom intent. The app includes a file browser with an editor and image viewer, commit history, file and line differences, branch management, and multiple remotes. Repository settings include signed commits, custom messages, author details, and ignore rules. When connected to supported hosted project services, GitSync can view, create, and comment on issues and pull requests, and view workflow runs. Optional AI features include repository chat, text-field completion, and an agent that can perform repository actions; a global setting can hide all AI features. Multiple repositories can be organized into containers. GitSync supports Android 5 and later and can authenticate through HTTPS, SSH, or OAuth. Its accessibility service detects when apps open or close to trigger tailored behavior, with the description stating that this information is not stored or shared. It is intended for managing source repositories and local project folders from Android.
