About Heartwood
Heartwood is an Android viewer for health and fitness information collected in Health Connect. It provides a read-only way to review data that other apps and wearables have written there, while letting you choose which categories the app may access through Health Connect permissions. It does not replace the apps that record activity; it brings their available measurements together for review. A daily dashboard presents measurements such as steps, heart rate, sleep, energy, distance, exercise, blood oxygen, weight, and blood pressure. Each metric has a small trend graphic for a quick overview. Opening a metric shows a fuller chart, statistics, and recent records. This lets you move from a broad snapshot of the day to the history and detail for an individual measurement. Heartwood also summarizes the week. It can show daily averages alongside goals you set, progress indicators, and changes compared with the previous week. Home-screen widgets keep selected numbers visible outside the app. Data that Heartwood can access can be exported as CSV or JSON for use elsewhere. The app is designed for information stored locally through Android Health Connect: the supplied description says it reads data and does not send what is viewed off the device. There are no accounts required. Access is controlled through Health Connect, where permissions can be changed or revoked. This makes Heartwood useful for people who want a consolidated view of measurements already gathered by their Android health apps, without using it to enter or modify those records.
