About ImapNotes3
ImapNotes3 is an Android notes and checklist app that stores notes as standard HTML email messages in an IMAP mailbox. It supports multiple IMAP accounts or notepads and can work offline, synchronizing in the background when a connection is available. Users can connect to common mail providers or their own IMAP server using plain text, SSL/TLS, or STARTTLS connections. The editor supports rich text formatting, images, and checklists. Notes can be searched by their contents, organized with hashtags, and customized with individual font and background colors. Notes can also be shared with other apps, imported or exported, or backed up in a local ZIP archive. Light and dark themes are available. ImapNotes3 is open source and described as having no tracking or advertisements, with minimal permissions. Its use of IMAP means notes can be synchronized through an existing email account while remaining available offline between syncs. It combines a formatted note editor with the portability and synchronization of a mail server.
