About Iris Keyboard
Iris Keyboard is an Android keyboard that combines ordinary text entry with clipboard tools, translation, optional AI assistance, and typing sounds. Its keyboard includes adjustable key shapes, sizes, spacing, colors, and backgrounds, plus themes and a true-black option. It supports an emoji bar, GIF search, and a history of copied text with a quick-paste bar. The AI Copilot can help compose, correct, or simplify text from the keyboard toolbar. Translation can use offline language models, web-based retrieval, or a configured AI service. The keyboard can also synthesize typing sounds or use customizable sound packs. Basic keyboard use works offline. Optional online features have separate data flows: GIF searches send queries to the selected provider, and cloud AI sends text the user submits to the chosen service. AI backends can include a local-network service or configured compatible endpoints. The user must invoke these features for those requests to occur. The app states that it has no trackers, analytics, or background telemetry, and supports enterprise managed configurations.
