About Janus Glossa

Janus Glossa provides contextual translations by matching a word or concept to a corresponding article title in another language. Instead of translating only the word literally, it uses multilingual encyclopedia entries and presents a short description and article summary to give more context. The app supports translation between languages represented in that knowledge base. Translation history is saved and can be searched later. Users can bookmark important results, copy a translation, or open the related article. Light and dark themes are available. Janus Glossa is suited to cases where a word may have several meanings and an explanatory article can clarify the intended concept. The supplied description does not claim to translate full passages or provide machine translation of arbitrary text; its workflow is based on finding corresponding article titles and reading their associated information.
