About Jargon
Jargon is an offline reader for a dictionary of hacker-culture terms. More than 2,300 entries are included in the app, so users can browse and search without an internet connection. An alphabetical index and fast scrolling help locate terms, while cross-references link related definitions directly. Searches are remembered, and entries can be copied, shared, or marked as favorites for later reference. A random-entry feature offers a way to explore an unfamiliar term, and a shortcut can open a random definition directly. The app’s focus is definitions and historical computing culture rather than general-purpose web search. Jargon keeps favorites on the device and requires no network access or account. It is intended for readers curious about terminology used in computing and hacker culture. The dictionary content is bundled with the app, making the reference material available offline.
