About Kairos
Kairos is a task planner that orders work by priority and fits tasks into the available spaces in a day. It scores tasks using value, deadline urgency, and effort, and explains the resulting position in the schedule so users can see why a task appears where it does. Overdue work is placed first. Tasks can be captured quickly as a title and kept in a processing list until priority and effort are assigned. The day plan accounts for meetings, adds buffers after them, and protects deep-work slots. In the afternoon, complex tasks give way to lighter ones. Kairos supports fixed-time and recurring tasks, dependencies, subtasks, and French public holidays. A task timer tracks time spent, alerts users when they exceed an estimate or leave a timer running, and provides statistics comparing estimated and actual durations. An optional team-management space adds member and absence tracking, a shared backlog, progress history, workload comparisons, and suggested task distribution. It can also run Monte Carlo forecasts that estimate completion dates as percentage chances and support “what if” scenarios. Team task files can be exchanged with other Kairos users. The personal workspace remains separate from the team space. Kairos works without an account or network permission and stores data on the device. JSON import and export support backup or transfer, and data from an earlier version can be brought in. It is available on Android, desktop systems, and in a browser, with French and English interfaces. Team features are optional and disabled by default.
