Kanji draw

About Kanji draw

Kanji draw lets Japanese learners write kanji on a touchscreen and identify the character they intended to enter. After drawing, the app presents recognition results so the user can choose the correct character. One or more selected characters can then be copied to the clipboard and pasted into a dictionary or website. This is useful when a learner can recognize a written character but does not know how to type it with a keyboard. Recognition depends on drawing the kanji in a sufficiently conventional way; the app description warns that arbitrary approximations may not be recognized. The tool therefore supports character entry rather than teaching how to write kanji or explaining their meanings. Its workflow is to draw, select from the suggested results, and copy the text for use elsewhere.
