About keepIT

keepIT is an offline-first app for notes, checklists, and voice notes. Notes are stored on the phone immediately, so writing and searching can work without an account, server, or internet connection. Text can use Markdown, and notes can include audio recordings or photos. Users can organize material with lists, colors, pins, and archives, and set reminders that work offline even when the app is closed. A home-screen widget and sharing text in from other apps make capture and review easier. For multiple-device sync or shared notes, users can connect to a keepIT server they run themselves. Notes sync in real time, and a server can be added later without losing existing local notes. Sharing a note for viewing or editing also requires a server. The app is described as having no ads, analytics, or tracking.
