About Knot

Knot is a deliberately minimal Android memo app that keeps only one note at a time. The idea is to capture a thought or reminder quickly, without navigating folders, lists, or a collection of options. It is intended as a digital equivalent of tying a knot in a handkerchief: a simple cue to help remember something that needs attention. The app has no advertising or trackers and is described as free and open source. Light and dark themes follow the system theme. Limiting the app to one note is a central constraint, so Knot is suited to a current reminder or short-lived idea rather than a long-term archive of multiple notes. Its plain design keeps the act of recording a thought simple, but the evidence does not describe reminders, formatting, search, or note history. Users who need multiple saved notes or structured organization would not find those functions in the documented feature set.
