About Lens HRV
Lens HRV uses a phone’s camera and flash to estimate heart-rate variability from changes in blood flow at a fingertip. The app records an optical pulse signal, processes it on the device, and reports heart rate and time-domain measures such as RMSSD and SDNN. It also provides frequency-domain measurements, respiration estimates, a coherence score, and details about signal artifacts and coverage. Each session can be compared with a seven-day baseline, and data can be exported as CSV. Processing is local and the app does not send results to a cloud service according to its description. The app uses the camera and flash rather than requiring a separate sensor. Lens HRV is described as a technical tool for personal tracking, not a medical device and not a source of diagnosis or treatment. Results depend on measurement conditions and signal quality; sessions with high artifact levels may be invalidated. Health-related decisions should be discussed with a qualified professional.
