About LensCast
LensCast turns an Android phone into a networked camera with manual controls and several streaming options. Users can adjust exposure, ISO, white balance, focus, and zoom; switch among supported lenses; and capture photos or video with HDR, stabilization, and resolutions up to 4K. Recording and streaming settings include frame rate, audio, and video codec choices. The camera can stream MJPEG to a browser on the local network or provide RTSP streams for compatible video clients and recording systems. A local web dashboard can display live video, browse and download captures, and control camera and stream settings. Optional password protection is available. Interval photography and scheduled or continuous recording support unattended capture. Optional object and sound detection can trigger alerts or recording when configured conditions are met. Other optional network services include notifications, backups, and model downloads, all disabled by default. LensCast has no ads or tracking, and processing runs on the device; the built-in web server is available on the local network. It is intended for users who want remote camera access or automated capture from a phone.
