About LibreCuts Beta

LibreCuts is an Android video editor for trimming and arranging clips, adding overlays, and exporting a finished video without a watermark. Users can remove unwanted sections from a clip, combine multiple clips, and reorder them. The editor also supports text, images, GIFs, and video overlays, with layer ordering controls. Subtitles can be imported from SRT files and repositioned in the preview. For audio, users can import a track, boost its volume up to 200 percent, or mute the original sound. Additional editing tools include custom aspect-ratio cropping, transitions, speed changes, reverse playback, brightness and contrast adjustment, saturation, and filters. Timeline controls support snapping clips, duplicating overlays, and creating freeze frames. The app can use supported hardware video encoders to accelerate export. It is focused on editing and rendering locally on the Android device, and is described as open-source and privacy-friendly. LibreCuts is currently in beta, so the supplied description notes that users may encounter bugs, instability, or incomplete features.
