About LinCal
LinCal schedules notifications containing a short message or a link at predefined times. Calendars are created as text files in a simple format and then loaded into the app. When a scheduled notification appears, a link can be opened by tapping it. The text-file format lets users prepare a sequence of messages or links in advance, for example as an Advent calendar or a series of notes to send to someone on particular days. The app displays the items at the specified times, turning the calendar into a lightweight reminder or surprise-message schedule. LinCal does not describe a full calendar, event-planning, or shared messaging system. Its role is to read a prepared text calendar and deliver its entries as notifications. The app is useful for people who want to schedule a set of small messages or links without entering each item through a more complex event manager. Tapping a link notification opens the associated destination, while text entries are shown as reminders.
