About Material Notes
Material Notes is a local text-based note-taking app with a Material Design interface. Users can create notes in plain text, Markdown, rich text, or checklist form, and a home screen shortcut can open a quick note. Notes can be searched, sorted by title or date, and shown in either a list or grid. Pinning, archiving, and a recycle bin help manage items over time. Tags provide another way to organize notes; users can color, pin, or hide tags. Text from other apps can be shared directly into a note, and notes can be shared as text. For backup and portability, the app can import and export JSON, including encrypted JSON exports, and can export notes as Markdown. Exports can also be made automatically. The app stores notes locally and has no internet permission. It can lock the whole app, selected notes, or notes under a chosen tag. Users can choose light, dark, or black themes, enable dynamic colors, select languages, and control which note types are available.
