About Mattermost Beta
Mattermost Beta is an Android app for workplace messaging through a self-hosted server. It supports private group discussions, one-to-one conversations, and team-wide channels, giving organizations a way to keep work conversations in a shared messaging environment they operate themselves. Users can share image files and view them in conversations. The service can also connect with in-house systems using webhooks and compatible integrations. This allows messages or activity from internal tools to be brought into the team’s communication workflow. The app is intended to be used with a server URL supplied by the organization, so it is not a standalone chat service; access depends on a compatible server. Mattermost Beta provides a mobile interface for reading and participating in team conversations while away from a desktop. Its self-hosted setup gives organizations control over where the messaging service runs, while the Android client provides direct access to channels, private groups, and individual chats.
