About MGit

MGit is an Android Git client for managing repositories on a device and synchronizing them with remote repositories. Users can create or import local repositories, clone remote ones, and fetch, pull, or push changes. The app provides browsing for repository files and commit messages, along with search, status, staging, and diffs between commits. Branch and tag operations include checkout and merging, while more advanced workflows include rebasing and cherry-picking. Remote connections can use HTTP, HTTPS, or SSH, including SSH with a passphrase-protected private key. Private key management is also available within the app. Local repository browsing and staging can be used offline; connecting to a remote is needed to exchange changes with it. MGit does not include a built-in text editor. It can work alongside Android text editors that support opening files through content providers, keeping repository management and file editing as separate tasks. The app is intended for users who need Git operations while working from an Android device.
