About Mobile Harness

Mobile Harness is a local-first coding workspace for ARM64 Android devices. Users can create persistent or quick projects, chat with a coding agent, browse project files, run Linux commands, inspect diffs, and preview local web apps. Task checkpoints and rollback controls help review or undo changes made during a coding session. The workspace includes project-specific and global terminals, a collapsible file browser, and an Ubuntu runtime setup flow. It connects to an AI API service using an API key that is encrypted with Android Keystore support. Several chat sessions and visible tool activity are available, so users can follow what the coding agent is doing. Mobile Harness is experimental alpha software. The supplied description warns that its PRoot environment is not a hardened security sandbox and advises opening only trusted projects and dependencies. Provider capabilities vary, and not all models support every tool or streaming event. It is intended for development on Android, but users should review generated code and commands before running them.
