About NC Collectives

NC Collectives is an Android client for wiki-style notebooks hosted on a user-managed server. It lets users browse collections and nested page trees, render Markdown pages with images, tables, task lists, and code blocks, and edit pages from the phone. A native editor with formatting tools and a live preview works offline; a collaborative editor is available when the server supports it and the device is online. The app caches pages for offline reading and queues edits for later synchronization. If a conflict occurs, the documented behavior uses the last write, while local edits are preserved as drafts attached to the page. Users can search page text, manage favorites and recent searches, tag and reorder pages, create duplicates, and follow backlinks to pages that reference one another. Images can be attached from the camera or gallery, and deleted pages or collections can be restored from trash. NC Collectives requires a compatible server with its wiki app installed, served over HTTPS. It supports light, dark, and system themes, configurable background sync, and sharing text, links, or images into a page. The client provides mobile access to a structured knowledge base while keeping synchronization tied to the user’s own server.
