About Note Crypt Pro
Note Crypt Pro stores notes in encrypted database files on the device. Users create a database with a chosen name or path, set a password, and open it when they want to access its notes. Each note can have a title and tags, and notes can be filtered by tag, marked as important, or sorted alphabetically or by creation date. The database uses 128-bit AES in CBC mode with PKCS5 padding and a random initialization vector. A random salt and PBKDF2 with HMAC-SHA1 are used for key derivation. This keeps encryption tied to the password chosen for the database rather than to an online account. Note Crypt Pro is intended for organizing text notes that users want to keep in a password-protected database. The product information states that notes become inaccessible if the database password is forgotten, so the password is required to reopen and read the stored notes.
