About Office Break

Office Break is an Android timer that prompts users to take movement breaks during a workday. Users set an interval, start the timer, and receive a suggested exercise when the interval expires. Confirming that the exercise is done restarts the cycle. Break lengths can be set in hours and minutes, and exercise repetitions can be fixed or randomized within a range. Three exercise modes cover bodyweight workouts, mobility stretches, and more discreet desk-friendly movements. The app includes 25 exercises, allows users to add their own, and lets them disable exercises they do not want. A weekday schedule can assign different modes to different days. Work schedules support per-day start and end times, lunch breaks, and night shifts; the timer can pause for lunch and stop at the end of a shift. Freestyle mode supports breaks without exercise prompts outside work hours. A foreground service keeps the timer active, with configurable audio, vibration, and notification sounds when a break is due. Text-to-speech can read exercise names. A home-screen widget shows a live countdown, break count, streak, and a start action. The app also includes achievements, local statistics, JSON backup and restore, and accessibility settings such as large fonts and reduced motion. It has English and German interfaces and is described as offline, with no account, ads, or tracking.
