About OpenSyncedLists

OpenSyncedLists is a list and checklist app that synchronizes data across devices through a server the user controls. Lists can be used for shopping, to-do items, or small projects. Items can be reordered by dragging or moved directly to the top or bottom. Completed items move aside while keeping their place, so a reusable list can be reset with one tap instead of rebuilt. Tags, progress counters, and a compact display help organize larger lists. Users can create a different server for each list if desired, group tasks with their own tags, and share a list by URL. Lists can also be exported as Markdown, JSON, clipboard text, or messages. Controls can be adjusted for left- or right-handed use, with buttons optional, and list text size is adjustable. Synchronization is end-to-end encrypted, with data encrypted on the device so the server operator cannot read the lists. The app is self-hosted, has no account requirement, and is described as having no tracking or data collection. Users need to run or access a compatible server for synchronization. OpenSyncedLists is free and open-source. It suits people who want reusable, sortable lists on multiple devices while keeping the synchronization service under their own control.
