About Orgro
Orgro is an Android editor and viewer for Org Mode documents. It brings common document tasks to a phone, including toggling TODO items and checkboxes, searching and filtering content, and expanding or collapsing sections, blocks, and drawers. Reflowed text, syntax highlighting, tables, and LaTeX rendering help make structured Org files easier to read on a mobile screen. The app includes quick actions for starting a new document or opening an important one, and it can notify users about agenda items. Org Crypt sections can be encrypted or decrypted, and bibliography references can be handled with Org Cite support. These features let users review and update task lists, notes, and reference material while away from a desktop. Some functions require Android permissions: notifications and background agenda updates depend on notification and execution-related access. Remote images and dynamically loaded fonts also require network permission. Orgro’s core role is to carry Org Mode documents and selected editing features onto Android, with the document remaining the organizing format.
