About Portio
Portio is an Android app for dividing batch-cooked meals into portions. Users weigh the full dish, then the app calculates how much to place in each container according to the portions assigned to different participants. Quantities can be adjusted for each person, providing a way to split one pot or tray according to differing serving sizes. The app can store the empty weights of containers, so those values can be included automatically when weighing portions. This avoids needing to remember or re-enter container tare weights for each meal. The workflow brings the batch weight, container weights, and participant portions together to guide how the food is distributed. Portio is intended for meal preparation and portion allocation. It calculates weights from the values entered by the user; it does not describe nutrition tracking, calorie analysis, or dietary planning. Its focus is weighing a prepared dish and splitting it consistently among containers or people.
