About Quillpad
Quillpad is a Markdown note-taking app for organizing ideas, tasks, and reference material. Notes can be grouped into notebooks, assigned tags, pinned, hidden, or archived. Search helps locate content, and task lists and reminders support action items and events. Users can attach voice recordings and other files to keep related material with a note. The app can synchronize notes with a configured Nextcloud server that has the required notes service installed. For a portable copy, users can back up notes to a ZIP file and restore them later. Light and dark modes and several color schemes are available. Quillpad is free and open source. Its design brings writing, task lists, attachments, organization, and reminders together, with local backups and an optional self-hosted synchronization path. The product description says notes are not uploaded without the user’s knowledge; synchronization occurs only when the user configures it.
