About Resticopia
Resticopia is an Android interface for creating and managing backups with Restic. Users can configure backup repositories, choose folders to include, start backup operations, and browse or manage saved snapshots. Recurring schedules can automate backups, while retention policies specify cleanup rules for individual folders. Progress is reported through system notifications. The app can use local repositories and several remote storage protocols, including S3, B2, REST, and Rclone. Through Rclone, it can reach more than 40 cloud storage providers. To run the backup software on Android, Resticopia uses a custom PRoot environment to run native Linux binaries. This lets the app bring repository setup, folder selection, backup scheduling, snapshot review, and retention management together on a mobile device. It is an unofficial Android application for Restic, rather than an app developed or endorsed by the Restic project team.
