About Robot36 - SSTV Image Decoder
Robot36 decodes Slow Scan Television images from audio signals. It supports several transmission modes, including Robot, PD, Martin, Scottie, and Wraase variants. When it detects the calibration header for a supported mode, it automatically decodes and saves the resulting image to the device’s Pictures directory, where it can be viewed in the image gallery. Older black-and-white modes and unsupported formats can be displayed in Raw mode. This provides a way to inspect received signal data even when the decoder does not recognize a standard supported mode. The supported mode list helps users select or identify common SSTV transmission formats. Robot36 is intended for decoding SSTV transmissions received as audio. The product description states that background decoding is no longer supported in version 2, so the app must be used in the foreground for decoding. Its main workflow is to receive audio, detect a supported calibration header, decode the image, and save the result for later viewing.
