About ShowCase

ShowCase is an Android app for exploring and organizing a personal collection of films and television series. It combines title information with a local database where you can track your own viewing plans and history. For each movie or show, the app lets you assign a status such as planned, watched, or dropped, add a rating, and record when you started and finished watching it. This makes the local collection useful both as a watchlist and as a record of viewing activity. The app can synchronize account data with TMDB and Trakt. The described account features include syncing favorites, watchlists, ratings, and, for Trakt, collections. It also supports creating public or private lists through TMDB. For browsing and organization, titles can be filtered by genre, release date, and other criteria. Detail pages include cast and crew information, similar-title recommendations, and external ratings. ShowCase includes offline access to the locally stored collection and supports importing and exporting its database, as well as importing data from other apps. It can notify users about upcoming film and television releases and download posters for titles. These capabilities connect discovery, personal tracking, and account synchronization while keeping a local record available for offline use. Its interface is described as supporting Material You. The app is still in development, according to the supplied product information.
