About Simple Frame
Simple Frame turns a compatible device into a digital photo frame by displaying images from a local folder as a slideshow. It is intended to make use of older devices by showing a collection of pictures without requiring an internet connection. The app works with local files only, so images need to be transferred onto the device before they can be displayed. Users can choose how long each picture remains on screen and select from twelve transition effects between images. The display can scale pictures to fit the screen, and the slideshow order can be randomized. Together, these settings allow a folder of images to be presented continuously with a pace and appearance suited to the room or display. The app’s role is focused on playback of local pictures rather than online photo access or collection management. It provides a simple way to reuse an Android device as a stationary frame: prepare a folder of images, choose slideshow settings, and let the device cycle through them.
