About SkyTube
SkyTube is an open-source Android video client that supports playback and downloads, channel browsing, and search for videos, music, and channels. Users can watch channel playlists, read comments, and explore trending and popular content. Subscriptions can be imported, followed with non-intrusive notifications, and viewed together in a subscription feed. Videos can be bookmarked, and thumbnails can be viewed or downloaded. Swipe controls provide access to volume, brightness, comments, and descriptions while watching. The app also offers content filters to reduce unwanted recommendations, including channel blacklists and whitelists and rules based on view or dislike counts. SkyTube is useful for people who want a dedicated mobile player with subscription management, discovery, and filtering tools. Its features depend on the availability and current behavior of the online video service. The app is described as ad-free and open-source. The supplied description identifies playback, downloads, subscription browsing, comments, and video filtering as its main functions; it does not specify additional privacy or network-handling details.
