About sNotz
sNotz is an offline Android app for creating and organizing simple notes and checklists. Users can customize each item with background and text colors, sort notes by name, date, or color, and create secret notes that are hidden from the main view by default. Notes can be deleted with a swipe, and widgets can display notes or checklists on the home screen. Individual notes can have reminders, while biometric or PIN authentication can protect notes and checklists. The app supports export and sharing through other apps, along with a simple backup and restore function for moving data to another device. Notes are stored locally in JSON format; there is no account or cloud storage requirement. sNotz is intended for lightweight personal writing and lists, with privacy controls and local backups rather than synchronization. Its description says the app does not collect user data and relies only on the device’s built-in backup mechanism beyond its own export and restore features.
