About SponsorCut
SponsorCut removes sponsor segments, introductions, endings, and other non-content sections from video and audio files stored on the device. The user can share a local file to the app, enter or share a video identifier or URL, review the segments marked for removal, and then process the file locally. The result is saved to Downloads or Music. It supports MP4, MKV, WebM, TS, M4A, MP3, AAC, and Opus files. The app can re-encode a file or copy its streams while cutting the selected sections. Audio-only output is saved in the music folder with the appropriate media type. Processing can be canceled, and a wake lock can keep the CPU active during a long job if the screen turns off. A diagnostic log exposes detailed processing output, and status text can be selected and copied. The app remembers the last video identifier and file between sessions. It queries a community-maintained segment service using the video ID and can optionally look up a title; other processing stays on the device. No account, analytics, or tracking is described. SponsorCut requires Android 8.0 or later and is intended for editing locally stored media based on available segment data.
