About tagdrop
tagdrop turns small pieces of content into QR codes that can be scanned and viewed offline. A single page can contain text, HTML, SVG, or JSON, while a printable paper can bundle several files behind a directory code. Pages may link to one another using relative links, allowing a small static collection to be printed and reconstructed from its codes. Content that is too large for one code can be split across multiple sector codes; the app can collect them in any order, reassemble and verify the content, and optionally recover one missing sector using a parity code. tagdrop also supports collections, linked trails with location hints, and reply threads between codes. Scanned pages open in an in-app viewer with search and hashtag filtering, and the app includes history, collections, and map views. Codes can be written to compatible NFC tags for tap-based access. Users can sign content with a post-quantum signing scheme; after the first scan, subsequent scans can indicate whether the content matches the previously recognized signer. A passphrase-protected backup preserves the signing identity. All content is carried in the code itself, so the basic create, print, scan, and view workflow does not need an internet connection, server, or account. Optional remote feeds can add community drops to the map. This makes tagdrop suited to sharing compact offline pages or organizing physical trails of printed codes, with the practical limit that the content must fit within one or more scannable codes.
