About The Translator
The Translator is an Android utility for translating string resources from an app into another language. A user imports a language-strings XML file from device storage or provides its address. The app displays each translatable string as a separate entry, which can be edited one by one. On-screen guidance helps identify errors in the translated entries. After translation, the user saves the completed XML file and can share it with the app’s developers. Individual lines can be removed with a long press, and the interface offers light and dark themes. The app includes translations of its own interface in several languages. The Translator is designed for contributors working with Android application strings rather than as a general-purpose document translator. Its workflow is to import a resource file, translate each listed entry, review any marked errors, and export the resulting XML for integration into an app.
