About Tryst
Tryst is an offline Android journal for recording intimate encounters. Entries can include date and time, duration, partners, activities, positions, protection, mood, setting, occasion, toys, satisfaction, orgasms, notes, and encrypted photo attachments. Users can define their own categories for activities, positions, toys, occasions, and other attributes, and can track partners by name or anonymously. History can be searched and filtered by notes, partner, category, date, place, mood, protection, duration, and more. A dedicated photo area gathers attached images and offers date-grid, mosaic, partner, people, and feed views. It includes search, filters, favorites, bulk actions, slideshows, and pinch-to-zoom. An optional blur-until-tapped setting can hide images while the phone is being shown to someone else. Insights summarize streaks, trends, and attribute breakdowns over a year, quarter, or custom range, and achievements are based on the user’s own log. The product emphasizes local privacy: it requires no internet permission, account, sign-up, synchronization, analytics, ads, or crash reporting. Entries are kept in an encrypted local database, and photos are encrypted in app-private storage rather than placed in the shared gallery. A PIN and optional biometric access protect the app; screenshots and app-switcher previews are blocked. Data is excluded from cloud backup, and the app’s manual export is encrypted with a password. Tryst does not provide password recovery. The product warns that if the PIN is forgotten and biometric access is unavailable, the data cannot be unlocked; users should keep the PIN safe and use the encrypted export for backup. It is intended as a private personal journal with customizable categories and local statistics. Custom categories can be created and managed separately, so the journal is not limited to a fixed set of labels. User-defined categories are included in insights and achievement summaries. The history filters can combine details such as dates, partner, place, mood, protection, and duration, which allows a user to find entries without browsing chronologically. Photos can be blurred until tapped, and album layouts include per-partner and date-oriented views. The app’s security model relies on local encryption and a PIN; there is no remote recovery service, so the encrypted export is the documented way to create a transferable backup.
