About VocableTrainer
VocableTrainer is a flashcard-style vocabulary app for learning foreign-language words and remembering their meanings. Entries can contain multiple meanings, and training progress is based on correct and incorrect answers. Several practice modes are available: enter one meaning, enter every meaning, or write the answers on paper while using the app for prompts. The different modes support both active recall and written practice. Tracking correct and incorrect responses gives the learner a way to review how training is going, while multiple meanings let one vocabulary entry capture more than a single translation. A dark theme is available on Android 8.1 and later. Vocabulary lists can be imported from or exported to spreadsheet-style CSV files, with full UTF-8 support for multilingual text. The app’s internet access is used only for an optional survey and optional crash reports. VocableTrainer is intended for learners who want to build a personal vocabulary list and practice definitions in more than one way, while keeping the study material in a portable file format.
