About WhatsDeleted
WhatsDeleted saves selected incoming WhatsApp messages and downloaded images so they remain available if the sender later removes them. It observes message notifications and watches for new images, storing captured material in a backup location on the device. Users need to grant notification access for message logging and storage access for saved files; the image observer is enabled by default. The app has important limits. Messages received while the user is already viewing the conversation, rather than through a notification, are not saved. Images are stored only if they have been downloaded to the device. The message log and image folder can grow over time, so the supplied instructions recommend clearing them periodically to manage storage. WhatsDeleted is a local record-keeping tool for notifications and downloaded media, not a way to retrieve all deleted content. Captured conversations can contain private information, so users should consider consent and secure access to the device when enabling notification and storage access.
