About WorldMap
WorldMap is a simple Android viewer for a world map. Users can pan around the map to inspect different areas, and the app can also open arbitrary images when launched from a file manager. This makes it useful both for viewing the included map and as a basic image viewer for other large pictures. The included map is a large image, so the app decodes only the region needed for the current view instead of loading the whole image into memory at once. This allows it to display the map on devices with limited memory. The supplied information does not describe search, location services, overlays, or map navigation tools; WorldMap’s documented functions are image display and scrolling.
