About YAACC

YAACC is an Android app for playing and sharing media across devices that support UPnP or DLNA. It can browse a media server and play content on the phone, act as a renderer for media sent from another device, and control network media renderers. The app can manage multiple renderers and download files from a media server. YAACC can also run a media server that shares files stored on the phone. It supports browsing storage through Android’s Storage Access Framework, including external drives, USB devices, and SD cards. On Android 10 and newer, the app can stream system audio and screen content to network devices. Playback can be controlled from the lock screen, and receiver controls allow play, pause, or stop actions directly. Additional features include sharing URLs to a selected renderer, a shutdown timer, and battery-conscious Wi-Fi and foreground-service management. YAACC combines server, player, renderer, and controller functions for a home network media setup.
